Our Leadership


LEADERSHIP AT LMCC

LMCC’s leadership is made up of two teams that work closely together:

a team of five pastors, who are responsible for the overall direction and teaching of the church, and a team of eight ministry leaders, who oversee specific activities and initiatives.

Both teams have a mix of paid staff and unpaid volunteers. Paid staff are denoted by an asterisk below.


PASTORS

RYAN HOLLADAY* (Lead Pastor) is a graduate of Wheaton College (BA, Philosophy) and Union Theological Seminary (MA, Theology). He has also studied at the University of Virginia School of Law and the New York University School of Law. Before coming to LMCC, Ryan worked at several other churches and nonprofits. He is married to Brittany and has two daughters.


JACOB LANGE* is a graduate of University of Buffalo (BS/BA) and Drew Theological Seminary (MDiv). Before coming to LMCC, he served as a pastor at a church plant here in New York City. Jacob has been involved with many local and international non-profits, and has lead several trips to Uganda. He is married to Omotomi.


GARY BROYLES is a graduate of the University of Michigan (MA, East Asian Studies). After serving in the military, Gary spent most of his career as an educator, both in the LA Unified School District and in China. Before coming to LMCC, he served in leadership roles at churches in Montana and California. He frequently makes trips to West Africa where he assists in the construction of new local schools. He is married to Susan.


JUSTIN IWERKS is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and holds a PhD in mathematics from Stony Brook University. He teaches at The Spence School on the Upper East Side. Justin enjoys writing, recording and performing music with his band. He can usually be seen playing percussion during the Sunday service at LMCC. He is married to Rebecca and has a daughter.


CARA MARRIOTT is a graduate of Baylor University (BA, Business). Before coming to New York City, she served as vice president of international development for Ticketmaster and as President of the Board for Step Up Women's Network. She is currently a trustee and Council member for the Village Community School. Cara lives in Tribeca with her husband, Dan, and their three children.


MINISTRY LEADERS

NICOLE BERRY* (Children's Ministry) is a graduate of Azusa Pacific University (BA, Philosophy) and Fuller Theological Seminary (MA, Theology). She also completed her Clinical Pastoral Education at Sequoia Hospital in the Bay Area. Nicole worked in both non profits and health care facilities in California before moving to the East Coast in 2010. She is married to Wil and has a son.


MATTHEW HAMEL* (Sunday Program Ministry) is a graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University (BS, Psychology) and works as an award winning theatre director in New York and around the country. Before moving to New York in 2000, Matthew spent 5 years as Associate Pastor of Fine Arts for South Palm Community Church in Boynton Beach, FL. He currently lives in Astoria with his wife Tara Jeanne and son Aidan.


JEFFREY KLEFFMAN* (Sunday Set-up Ministry) is a graduate of California State University, East Bay (BA, Business). He currently works in residential property management for Douglas Elliman. Before coming to LMCC, Jeff served in youth ministry at Crosswinds Church in the Bay Area. He is engaged to Natasha.


KATHLEEN OLIVER (Women's Ministry) is a graduate of Emmanuel College (BA, Art Education) and New York University (MA, Early Childhood Education.) She has lived in New York for the past 17 years, where she moved from Boston after graduating from college. Kathleen worked in several museums and private schools prior to having children. She is married to Jason and they have two sons.


SALLEY WHITMAN (Finance Ministry) is a graduate of Clemson University (BS, Public Health) and The University of South Carolina (Masters of Health Administration). She spent 8 years in hospital administration before starting a non-profit healthcare innovation firm called NXTHealth. She is currently the Executive Director for NXTHealth and splits her time between this job and her other role as mom to 2 boys (8 and 6). Salley is married to Jason and they live in Battery Park City.


RANDY WILLIAMS (Men's Ministry) is a graduate of Lehigh University (BA, Journalism) and is Director of Communications for BATS Stock Exchange. Randy previously worked for 11 years as a journalist for the Dow Jones Newswires in New York and received the Dow Jones Circle of Excellence Outstanding Service Award in honor of his work on Sept 11, 2001. He lives in Battery Park City with his wife Claudine and their son.


RICKY ROBINETT (Communication Ministry) is a web developer, speaker and creator of random things. After dropping out of college, Ricky randomly moved to Brooklyn where all of his wildest dreams have come true. He currently works as Senior Hacker & API Product Lead at Ordr.in. Ricky is married to, and eternally grateful for, his wonderful wife Hannah and they proudly live in Brooklyn.
